Notes on Patrick [1828] and Ellen Shevlin Family

According to son Anson's 1930 census record Patrick was born in Northern Ireland,

He died June 5, 1891 and was buried June 8, 1891.

Sarah Shevlin, single, died May 31, 1888 at age 23.  Daughter of Patrick, born Ireland, and ? Fagan, born Ireland.  Of consumption.

The death record for Sarah Shevlin, above, suggests that Ellen Shevlin's maiden name was Fagan.  If so, she was probably the daughter of Conde Fagan who is listed in the 1840 census for Hunter, New York [p. 218] with a wife and three daughters.   

Mary, age 5, who appears in the 1850 census with Patrick and Ellen may be Ellen's sister.

Ellen is referred to as "Helen" in the 1892 census and as "Nellie" in the 1880 census.
